Counted Cross Stitch

We appreciate the heart and soul, money and time that you put into your cross stitch piece. (We are stitchers too!) We will give it a gentle stretch, and either lace or pin the piece to an acid-free board. We will never use any type of tape or “sticky boards” on your treasure. Lacing and pinning are the old-fashioned, tried and true ways of mounting cross stitch pieces prior to framing.

Needlepoint

We have been custom framing needlepoint pieces for ten years. We will block your piece and then mount it to an acid-free board with either Attach-EZ fasteners or stainless steel staples around the outer edges. Both methods are 100% reversible with no damage to the needlework.

Embroidery, Lace, Crewel & Other Types of Needlework

Each type of treasure that is the result of a needleworker’s talent is custom framed in our studio according to Volume 3 of the Library of Professional Picture Framing - Needlework Framing.

All of the components used in needlework custom framing are critical in order to preserve each piece. We use only 100% acid-free materials. This includes the mounting board, mats, backboards and dust cover. We also install an acrylic spacer on the inner edge of the glass so it does not rest on the threads. These methods are our way of custom framing all types of needlework, day in and day out.

Local Needlework Chapters

We are delighted to support our local chapters of The American Needlepoint Guild (ANG) and the Louisville Chapter Embroiderers Guild (EGA) by advertising our services in their newsletters.
